The woman that I am.

In preparation for women's day, I have written and dedicated this poem to myself. I have always had people decide who they want me to be and how they want me to live my life. This life fits only into their perspective but anymore!. I have learnt through self-awareness, to let the woman I am becoming have the space to come alive.

The woman I am now is the woman that is growing, learning and advancing into who she wants to be every single day. A woman who isn't scared to take risks and is determined to live every single moment to the fullest by God's grace. A woman that is not doubtful of what she wants and how to get what she wants.

It is easy to let what people think define who we are, or determine how we view ourselves. It's not an easy thing letting go our 'perceived values' from outsiders, but it is the best thing for our mental health and for creating a stamp in this world.

So learn today as (I am also learning), to detach yourself from statements you feel are not aligned with who you are. Embrace things, energy that interprets clearly who you are and how great you are going to be. I am going to explain how I go about this on my Instagram so hop on there if you are interested.
